“I had a lot of empty dead space next to our big playland that I wanted to utilize. The parents and grandparents just love our new Toddler Zone. It’s totally changed the vibe of our PlayPlace to be more inclusive than just big kids,” reports Barb Gadwood, owner-operator of McDonald’s store #26547 in Kansas City.

Gadwood first saw PLAYTIME at the McDonald’s in Lawrence, Kansas. She realized that she did not have much of a toddler area, and that PLAYTIME soft foam play elements would be perfect for her store.

The new Kansas City PLAYTIME Toddler Zone opened in early April and has been a popular attraction.

“It’s been great. We put in a PLAYTIME treehouse and the kid’s just love it,” added Gadwood. “We installed a long bench next to the Toddler Zone so parents and grandparents have a comfortable place to sit while they watch their kids play.”

One grandmother with three grandchildren travels from the other side of town each week just so the youngest of her three grand children has a place to play in the PLAYTIME Toddler Zone while the older kids are in the big kids play area.
