PLAYTIME Water Features Lead to “Incredible Attendance” at Ft. Buchanan Water Park!

“We were looking for a way to bring more families to our pool,” says Recreation Assistant George Santiago. “We added new PLAYTIME water features and we have been packed every day since. Now, we want to add more!”

Santiago has been operating pools at the Puerto Rico base for 15 years and says The Water Spout water park at Ft. Buchanan used to only offer two slides. When he added soft foam floatables, such as colorful turtles, lily pads and fish, attendance jumped.

“The moms, especially, are so grateful,” he says. “We have many families that show up when we open at 10 a.m. and they don’t leave until we close at 5:30 p.m.”

Even with such tremendous use, Santiago says the play elements are holding up beautifully. He now hopes to get budget approval to add elements that will attract more teens to the pool, such as water walks.

The elements in the Ft. Buchanan pool were designed and manufactured by PLAYTIME, LLC.

“I am definitely going back to PLAYTIME for the additional water features that we want to add,” says Santiago. “We want to bring in more customers and I think this is a good way to do it. It’s been a good investment in our pool.”
